Sometimes when bad things happen in our life, it can be tempting to feel like we don’t have anything to be grateful for. But we need to understand that we can be grateful for the bad things too. What is bad is just a matter of perception, there’s often something good in the bad.

 What I perceived as bad a few years ago, is now in hindsight, one of the best things that happen to me. I was bounced between eight different bosses in two years and it made me pause and think about what I wanted in life. The bad situation made me start my new career as an author, trainer and speaker. What looked like a bad situation, opened the door to a new career, and I am happier and more successful today than I was back then.

Look at everything that is happening in your life and understand that setbacks are just turning points. That makes it easier to be grateful. Choose instead to se the bad things as opportunities and crossroads that helps you grow as a person and makes you make new conscious decisions. You probably recognize the situation. The setbacks will help you go further in life!
